Luna has written an eloquent post called An Open Letter. It captures the complex set of emotions that befall infertile women when they hear about the pregnancies of others — whether those pregnancies came easily or after much effort and heartache. Her words touched me deeply and reminded me again that the best gift any person can offer to someone with chronic infertility costs no money and takes little, if any, effort.
It’s the gift of compassion. Please give it generously this holiday season.
